Cherry: The first of our rubs to make their debut in 2010, our Cherry rub uses a trade secret blend to usher in a delectable balance of sweet and aromatic flavors with just hint of cherry. Genie’s Trinity: A robust blend of honey, pecan and peach work in concert to bring joy to your taste buds. After its development in 2017, Steph Franklin was awarded a perfect 180 score in the chicken category at a Kansas City BBQ competition in a field of 77 teams. The Genie’s Trinity serves as a great compliment to chicken and pork.
Pecan Rub: Entering the market in 2010 to rave reviews from backyard grillers and professional BBQ competitors alike, this rub is the perfect balance of savory and sweet flavors with a nutty finish that will excite your palate. It is an excellent choice for pork, poultry, beef, and fish.
Peppered Cow: Created in 2010, this rub remained on Steph’s private shelf for two years as he used it to stealthily win the brisket category at several BBQ contests. Following his competition success, and with clear approval from the judges, Peppered Cow was officially released in 2012. Not just for use in competition, this home-cook friendly rub is a wonderful fusion of peppers and spices that takes beef to the next level and works equally well on poultry, pork, and vegetable applications.
Popitude: This finishing rub was crafted in 2013 to provide both pop and attitude just before meal service. Our coveted Cherry and Spicy Apple rubs are combined in perfect harmony to create that wow factor in the final step of your culinary masterpiece. Popitude serves as an excellent finishing product to pork and chicken.
Santa Maria: In order to provide a new savory blend for the many grill warriors and families cooking at home, this rub was developed in 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our Santa Maria rub is an herbal explosion of goodness for proteins and vegetables, and was created with authenticity and respect for those who created this form of live-fire cooking in mind.
Season All: Our second rub to go to market was produced in 2009 as an all-purpose seasoning for the general consumer to add extra flavor to a myriad of dishes such as vegetables, french fries, and popcorn. Season All also serves as an impressive base seasoning to protein applications and is a perfect partner to the other rubs in the Simply Marvelous BBQÒ lineup. However, you choose to use it, your taste buds are sure to be pleased.
Spicy Apple: At the request of Steph’s friends, this rub was developed in 2010 to meet their ever-increasing sophisticated palates. Our trade secret blend provides just the right touch of apple flavor. The blend of spicy and sweet ingredients combines to create a surprising rub all its own. This delectable seasoning should be sprinkled liberally on poultry, beef, or fish, but is extra special on all pork cuts from tenderloin and chops to shoulder and ribs.
Sweet & Spicy: Blended in 2008, this is the very first rub created under the Simply Marvelous BBQÒ brand.Steph created this rub to satisfy his cravings of a flavor profile he enjoyed while vacationing in Jamaica.Sweet & Spicy goes well with chicken, pork, and beef. Sweet Seduction: In 2011, during the trial and testing phase of this rub, Steph used it at a regional Sam’s Club BBQ competition and was awarded 1st place in the chicken category. From there he knew he had a winner and quickly added it to the Simply Marvelous BBQÒ collection. Sweet Seduction incorporates a hints of peach and honey, which seduces your meat to erupt your palate with tasteful soul. Sweet Seduction is excellent on both pork and chicken.
The Genie’s Hooch: With whiskey aficionados in mind, this rub was introduced in 2015 to rave reviews. A unique blend of spices joins beautifully with notes of bourbon that will take your tastebuds on an enticing ride. The Genie’s Hooch was made for beef, but is equally delicious on poultry and pork.
